Scout Uniforms

Why do scouts where a uniform?

The uniform is one of the methods of scouting. It serves several purposes, one is to identify the scout as a member of our unit. This helps provide a sense of belonging and connection between scouts, similar to any team. Another purpose is identification. The uniform identifies the scout leaders and scouts so that we know who is who. You can also see the things the scout has earned.

What is a class A vs class B uniform?

Class B uniforms are a pack specific T-Shirt worn for less formal events and activities. Ours is shown below. We collect orders for these shirts and then place occasional bulk orders. We charge $25 per shirt and take payments in person and online through Scoutbook Plus.

What uniform do we need?

We require the Class B for scouts so that we are identifiable at events and activities. Especially those that include other packs. We do not require the Class A uniform, but it is suggested that scouts get the class A.

Obviously the Class A is more expensive, if you buy it for a younger scout, get it big so they can grow into it! They tuck in the uniform so it isn’t a big deal and you hopefully don’t have to rebuy every year.
